ArtPolonia
|
Based in Dublin, ArtPolonia is the most active organisation facilitating intercultural co-operation and exchange between the Polish Community in Ireland and local programmes, events and audiences.
|
|
It is the only organisation with a specific focus on cultural exchange between both communities. |
Since December 2007 ArtPolonia has also opened its programme to international artists and aims at establishing regular contacts between the international artists and audiences in Dublin. |
In this year’s programme, along with works by excellent Polish artists, were included outstanding works of artists from Ireland, UK, USA, Germany, Sweden and Israel. This approach will be continued. |
|
Through shared projects ArtPolonia seeks to create and enhance new forms of intercultural dialogue as well as personal engagement and exchange.
|
Our long term goal is to establish a professional forum for intercultural cooperation in Dublin with a special focus on the Irish and Polish exchange both in Ireland and Poland. |
Our mission is based on the underestimated fact that in an unstable and permanently changing environment high level cultural events are crucial in the creation of a social space of reference for personal and collective identities, values as well as for involvement and development. |
Artpolonia in operation:
- Professionalorganisation of high level intercultural events in Ireland
- Support, promotion of relevant contemporary productions, artists and arts organisations
- For Irish arts organisations the provision with connection with the Polish audiences, artists and their works
- Supporting Polish and international artists in realising and utilising their artistic potential
- Supporting Irish artists by presenting their works internationally
- Interdisciplinary cultural education
- Creative social inclusion for volunteers
- Building a contacts and information database on Irish, Polish and international artists in Ireland as well as on intercultural programmes, initiatives and funding opportunities
- Participation and initiation of international intercultural initiatives
